If you haven’t watched Stranger Things on Netflix yet, then you are totally missing out on an epic show with amazing actors – both kid and adult. The best actor on the show, though, is not Wynona Ryder as some people may assume, but instead a young girl named Millie Bobby Brown who plays the character Eleven – a young girl with a shaved head, supernatural abilities, and no clue how most of the world works.
On August 21st, Brown posted a video of her getting her head shaved to the Beyonce song Pretty Hurts. The song choice alone was totally perfect since Eleven is slightly obsessed with the word “pretty” throughout the show. Even better than the song choice are Brown’s reactions to her hair being chopped off. Rather than sobbing uncontrollably (like I totally would), Brown seems to have fun with the process of losing all of her gorgeous hair to become a super badass fictional character.

The show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers, wrote an essay for Entertainment Weekly in which they said, “When the day of the haircut finally arrived, Millie’s mom brought out a camcorder, while her dad ran away with tears in his eyes, unable to watch. It was a pretty dramatic scene. But also very quick. Within 10 minutes we had shaved it all off and slapped a fake ’11’ tattoo on Millie’s wrist. Millie looked at herself in the mirror, gave her best [Mad Max: Fury Road heroine] Furiosa scream — and Eleven was born.”
