Jay Z’s longtime friend and former Business Partner Kareem Biggs Burke is coming to Jay Z’s defense after Kanye’s rant the other day about his mentor and big brother Jay Z.
Kareem Burke is has spoken out to voice his shock and disappointment at Kanye West over his ‘don’t call me’ rant, where he complained about a conversation he had with his old friend on the phone after Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery ordeal.
The Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder, who said he misses ‘the old Kanye, Kareem talked to Page Six:
‘I was shocked to hear what Kanye said onstage. There was never anything rumbling . . . so when you hear these things in public, it’s a little shocking.
‘The last I saw (Kanye) he spoke really highly of Jay. I’m not sure about the relationship at this point.
‘I spoke to Jay (after Kanye’s rant) and we’re both just like, ‘We miss the old Kanye.’
And he believes 39-year-old Kanye may be over emotional due to personal issues he is going through at the moment. He said: ‘From what I know of Kanye, he’s usually really honest. So it sounds like something he’s going through right now.
He may [say] something like that, and then three weeks later he may be back to,”That’s my brother.” But at this point, with everybody’s career, we’re a little too old for rap beef.’
Since when did Jay Z let his inner circle talk to the press? Hilarious. He’s letting his boys talk for him. Ok!
