Lebron who already has taken his talents to Hollywood with Survivor’s Remorse, but now he and his business partner Maverick Carter, will produce a revival of the “House Party” comedy movie franchise.
According to NY Daily News:
This is definitely not a reboot. It’s an entirely new look for a classic movie,” James told The Hollywood Reporter. “Everyone I grew up with loved ‘House Party.’ To partner with this creative team to bring a new ‘House Party’ to a new generation is unbelievable.”
The project is another instance of James, 33, expanding his brand and interest into the entertainment industry.
James and Carter, the founders of SpringHill Entertainment — a collaborator with Warner Bros. — will have “Atlanta” writers Stephen Glover and Jamal Odori pen the screenplay. SpringHill Entertainment is collaborating with rapper Drake on two other projects, and James could call on his good friend to contribute to the soundtrack of the new “House Party” franchise.
