Margot Robbie is apparently hella competitive. In one scene of her latest movie Suicide Squad (Coming out in 5 days, 5 hours, and 11 minutes, not that I’m overly excited or whatever), the 26 year old actress had to hold her breath for as long as she could for the shot to be usable.
Last night, Robbie was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where she promoted Suicide Squad. When the conversation turned to one scene in the movie where Robbie was underwater, Jimmy started asking about whether or not the scene was CGI.
According to Robbie, “Nothing in this movie is CGI” when it comes to explosions and actors. Robbie apparently was trained by a free diver to hold her breath under water for a ridiculously long time by basically meditating under water and she and her stunt double formed a competition over who could hold their breath the longest.
I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to get into a breath holding contest with Robbie, it seems like it might be a bit too similar to Russian Roulette for anyone’s liking.
