Last night, a bomb explosion in Manhattan left 29 people injured and many people scared of further attacks. I happened to be near the Chelsea neighborhood and everything was chaos. People were running and confused about what was going on.
I was really scared something more was about to happen at any moment, after further investigation another bomb was found later on that evening. According to CNN A second device was found four blocks away — a pressure cooker, with dark-colored wiring protruding, connected by silver duct tape to what appears to be a cellphone, officials said.
Until now, police and authorities like mayor De Blasio does not know if this was an act of terror and he refused to say that it was.. On the other hand, Governor Cuomo, was not afraid to declare anything and called a spade a spade… “A bomb exploded in New York and this was obviously an act of terrorism.” In addition he stated that “A bomb going off is generically a terrorist activity. That’s how we’ll consider it. And that’s how we will prosecute it,” he said.
But mayor De Blasio stated that without further investigation it is too soon to declare the bombing as an attack; the truth is being investigated and we will find the people who did this.. DeBlasio ended things by saying “People like this will not be tolerated in New York.” Authorities are working so New Yorker’s can feel safe to go to work on Monday..
