Viola Davis is now the first black woman to win an Emmy, Tony and Oscar for ACTING!

Viola Davis gracefully accepted her award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2017 Oscar Ceremony. Davis won the Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in Fences and received the award humbly. Here are a few facts about Viola Davis, just in case you did not know, allow me to enlighten you with her great works!

  • Won 2001 Tony Award for King Hedley II
  • Won 2015 Emmy award for How to Get Away with Murder
  • Won 2010 Tony Award for Fences (broadway version)

These are only a few awards, however she has worked in many movies! Viola Davis is an amazing actress and is now one of my favorites! She can handle any role that she is given and she makes it her own!

(Whoopi Goldberg also received these exact awards, however, they are not all for acting. Goldberg received her Tony Award as a producer, not an actor)

In case you missed it, here’s her acceptance speech!
