Back in April of 2015 Solange Knowles Business Partner and friend Armina Mussa was fighting for her life after being stabbed 10 times in New Orleans. Now her accuser won’t have to spend any time jail because of a plea deal she has agreed to!

Aaronesia Christophe, 28, pleaded “no contest” to attempted aggravated assault in the case Tuesday (Aug. 9) in Orleans Criminal District Judge Karen Herman’s courtroom. Christophe was originally charged with attempted second-degree murder in the stabbing.
A jury for the attempted murder trial had been selected Tuesday when District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro’s Office reduced the charge to attempted aggravated assault in accordance with a deal negotiated with Christophe, who was represented by defense attorney Ike Spears.
The day before, prosecutors asked the judge to bar the defense from presenting “improper character evidence” against the victim at trial. However, Herman denied the request to the objection of the district attorney’s office. The plea deal was reached the next day.
Herman sentenced Christophe to serve six months in Orleans Justice Center jail, with the sentence suspended. She was also ordered to six months of inactive probation, records show. Additionally, Christophe is prohibited from possessing or purchasing a firearm while she is on probation.
