It’s been a while since we’ve seen Chris Tucker and he’s ready to make his entrance back to the stage to try out his latest routine. Chris will be performing tonight at the Tower Theater in Pennsylvania for what many are calling a comeback.
According to S2S.com
“I have success on-screen, but I’m compelled to do stand-up,” Tucker told The Intelligencer. “There’s nothing that makes me feel the way I feel when I’m on stage talking about what’s in my head.”
Tucker touches on hot topics like the Ebola virus, Adrian Peterson’s child abuse allegations and personal stories from childhood and adulthood.
“I was about to give my son a whooping when he was 5 and he told me I couldn’t do it. He said it was abusive. I said, Really. So I didn’t abuse him and I never have. Instead, I took him to McDonald’s.”
His most recent movie role earned him praise for starring in “Silver Linings Playbook” alongside Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro.
“I like having the chance to show my diversity. I hope some more movies like that come way. But I’m happy no matter what happens. It’s been a really great career. Look how far I’ve come.”
