The LGBT community wasn’t with “Dream Girl” star Jennifer Holliday after receiving knowledge that she had confirmed her performance at Inauguration. Holliday was set to sing Thursday at Lincoln Memorial with other performers such as Toby Keith and 3 Doors Down during the “Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration”.
Holliday stated that she considered the event to be for the people, not in support to our new upcoming President Donald Trump. When Holliday read an article on how her LGBT fans were disappointed in her decision to perform, she quickly released a statement to her in apology.
“I sincerely apologize for my lapse of judgement, for being uneducated on the issues that affect every American at this crucial time in history and for causing such dismay and heartbreak to my fans.”
Toby Keith on the other hand doesn’t give a DAMN what you all think. Keith made it a point after reading some of those same articles to let you all know that his performance isn’t in personal favor of Donald Trump. It his love for the U.S.A. Keith has faced a ton of backlash since it was announced Friday he’d be part of a show at The Lincoln Memorial the night before Trump is sworn in. However, Keith is sticking to his guns, saying, “I don’t apologize for performing for our country or military,” in an interview with EW.
Guess he told yall………
