Kendrick Lamar shuts down the streets of L.A. with a surprise Mobile concert as he celebrated the No. 1 debut of his album To Pimp a Butterfly. The Compton rapper, in partnership with Reebok’s #GetPumped initiative, rode through his hometown on Tuesday night while performing on top of a moving sixteen-wheeler flatbed truck.
An hour before he started, Kendrick took to Twitter to tell his fans where to meet him:

“Reebok and I have a shared goal to inspire, so helping people to get pumped though music and fitness was perfect—performing in such a unique way, creating a real experience and encouraging people through a run in my hometown of L.A.,” said Kendrick in a statement. “Partnering with Reebok, we always want to do something different and that will get people moving and this is an example of us coming together to create something special.”
