Migos Earn Their First No. 1 Album With Culture

Culture, which dropped on the 27th of last month, their lead single Bad and Boujee the project sold 131,000 equivalent albums units (44,000 traditional) in its first week. This marks a significant improvement for the trio, whose debut album, 2015’s Yung Rich Nation, peaked at No. 17.

Responding to if the album hit number one, Quavo stated what it would mean it him: “It would mean everything, but with everything in the world, hard work pays off,” he told Billboard. “We speaking for the young generation, we speaking for the young generation of music.” Rounding out the chart, The Weeknd’s Starboy falls 1-4 (51,000), Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic dips 4-7 (31,000), and Post Malone’s Stoney slides 7-9 (27,000).
