Remember when Rich Homie Quan was wanted for questioning after assaulting a club bouncer before escaping by speed boat… Well, he has turned himself into Miami police.
According to NBC Miami:
Famous rapper accused of attacking a security guard at a popular Miami Beach nightclub turned himself in to police Wednesday to face a battery charge.
Rich Homie Quan, whose real name is Dequantes Lamar, was expected to be booked into a Miami-Dade jail later Wednesday. He’ll face a misdemeanor charge of simple battery.
Lamar didn’t respond to questions from reporters as he surrendered.
According to a police report, the 25-year-old rapper was trying to gain entry into Club Liv at the Fontainebleau on March 24 with his entourage when a security guard said the club was at maximum capacity.
That’s when police say Lamar balled up his fists and said “I’m Rich Homie Quan and I’m a rich millionaire,” before demanding to be allowed inside.
Lamar also insisted he was with rapper Flo Rida, but the security guard wouldn’t let him in, the report said.
According to the report, Lamar threw two punches at the guard, leaving his nose broken and his lip bloodied. He then hit the guard in the back of the head, the report said.
Lamar and his entourage allegedly ran off toward the dock where they boarded a boat and fled the scene, the report said.
They made that sound like something out of a motion picture . I’m picturing him punching the bouncer and running to the boat to make a huge leap unto it as it rides into the night.
