Harrison Ford experienced a close call with an American Airlines flight carrying over 100 people trying to take off while Ford was landing his small single-engine plane earlier this month.
The video of this near miss was just released yesterday. Nothing happened in the incident and thankfully both planes were left unscathed, but Ford is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration for the almost crash NBC News said.
Ford was obviously confused by the incident because he said to air traffic control “Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?”
A plane landing on a taxiway is in violation of the FAA safety regulations. But, the FAA confirmed with E News that air traffic control gave Ford the go ahead to land on the runway and Ford repeated these instructions back to them.
Ford is not a stranger to flying telling National Geographic that he flies himself everywhere and he has also previously escaped unharmed up to three crashes, the most recent back in 2015.
